The Osceola Community Hospital housekeeping department has two fulltime and six part-time employees.  We will also call in a retired employee when we need to cover for vacations and illness.

On a daily basis our housekeeping staff is responsible for keeping the hospital clean and sanitary.  The staff housecleans all rooms at least once a year which involves washing ceilings, walls etc., and stripping and waxing floors.

The housekeeping staff follows state rules for cleaning walls and ceilings in surgery as well as OB.  Housekeeping cleans at the Home Health and part-time at the Child Development Center.  The staff continues to strive to do its best to keep the hospital properties clean and sanitary.

The maintenance department is responsible for the daily upkeep of the hospital, home health and child development buildings.  In addition, the maintenance crew assists future planning needs and projects.
