Osceola Community Hospice provides caring, support and compassion for people with a terminal illness and their families.  Hospice care helps people live their last months with dignity, in alert and pain-free manner, with symptoms under control, in their own homes.  We address the total physical, spiritual, social and psychological needs of hospice patients and their families.

Philosophy. . . We adhere to the philosophy of hospice, which affirms life and regards dying as a normal process which should neither be hastened nor prolonged.  Osceola Community Hospice services are covered by Medicare and most private insurance plans.  However, hospice care is provided to all patients, regardless of financial resources.

Home care. . . Hospice is where patients are:  in homes, retirement centers or nursing homes.  Hospice team members visit routinely to provide physical and spiritual care, answer questions, teach new and important skills, and to make each day as full of life as possible.  Professionals are on call 24 hours a day for special needs.  The hospice commitment to loved ones continues for over a year after death.

Volunteers are a precious resource for Osceola Community Hospice and for our patients.  If you or someone you know is interested in contributing time or talent to help hospice patients, we would be happy to hear from you.   We also welcome donations from individuals, businesses, foundations and religious and civic organizations.  Your generosity ensures that hospice is available to everyone in need.
