The
Osceola Community Hospital is a private, nonprofit, health care
organization located in
Sibley, Iowa providing inpatient, outpatient and
community health services to the citizens of Osceola County and
the surrounding area.
Services offered include general medical,
surgical, obstetrical,
coronary, intensive,
skilled nursing, extended care,
home health, hospice care,
emergency care and
child development services. The hospital has 25
beds which includes one bed for coronary intensive care, three
for obstetrics and the remaining twenty-one beds are utilized
for acute patients along with skilled and intermediate care
patients. In addition, there are three bassinets available
in the nursery. In February 2003, the Osceola Community
Hospital became a Critical Access Hospital.
The hospital provides a wide range of
diagnostic and treatment services along with twenty-four hour
emergency care staffed by members of the Osceola Community
Hospital medical staff
who are on call for emergencies.
The
hospital is certified by Medicare/Medicaid for all of its
services.
It is the mission of the Osceola Community
Hospital to enhance and improve the quality of life of the
population it serves, to be the area's premier health care
service provider, and to have a positive impact on the lives of
the people and community it serves.
Osceola Community Hospital is part of
Avera Health through a management contract with
Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
