The Osceola Community Hospital, Inc., Auxiliary
has played an important role in the hospital’s growth. The Auxiliary’s
mission is to help the hospital in any way that is needed. One of their
objectives has been to raise money for hospital projects.
Recently, the Auxiliary donated monies toward the purchase of new duvet
hide-a-beds for patient rooms. In years past, they have assisted with
many other purchases such as a new treadmill for cardiac and pulmonary
rehab, a new mammography machine, a birthing bed, patient room
televisions, support of a Lifeline participant, monies for the
community’s day care – “bright Beginnings of Osceola County” and many
more items.
By means of their donations to the hospital, the Auxiliary helps to
curtail hospital expenses in a small rural hospital. The Auxiliary has
two major fundraising events each year. A style show is held in the
spring and a community membership drive for dues and donations begins in
the fall.
The organization currently has 200 plus members. If you are interested
in becoming a part of a very viable, enthusiastic group, please contact
712-754-2574 for more information.
The Osceola Community Hospital Auxiliary is a very important member of
the TEAM at OCH.
