The physical therapy department provides patient care for a variety of ailments.  Physical therapy offers care to improve function from limitations due to pain, strength or neurologic deficit.  Physical therapy uses various treatment methods, such as whirlpool and other electrical stimulation machines which assist in decreasing pain and improving mobility as well as assisting with the healing process of a wound.

The key component in the field of physical therapy is performing, assisting and teaching patients proper walking and exercises which eventually will be carried out by the patient on their own.  It is the intent of physical therapy to progress them to a more independent basis and to prevent injuries from occurring in the future.

Locally, the physical therapy staff works with the medical staff, nursing, OT and other departments to provide total patient care.  Sports injury clinic is provided to area athletes in conjunction with medical staff.
