Osceola Community Hospital provides 24-hour every day emergency services. People may reach the emergency room through the emergency entrance or the front door of the hospital. Our front doors are locked at 8:30 p.m. Should emergency assistance be needed after the doors are locked push the ER button located near the door. The ER is staffed with registered nurse coverage and by a physician from the Family Medicine Clinic on call 24 hours every day. We have 24-hour on call staff for lab, x-ray and surgery. Our emergency room is equipped with all the necessary equipment to handle any kind of emergency. Our RN staff is encouraged to maintain ACLS certification, NALS certification, PALS certification and TNCC (Trauma Nurse Course). Osceola Community Hospital has a helipad which was recently located just south of the new physician building. Emergency helicopter air care is available from Marian Health Center in Sioux City and Sioux Valley and Avera McKennan hospitals in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. |
